Over the course of my undergraduate studies, I have been honoured to be the recipient of several awards from hackathons and innovation challenges.

ASEAN Climate Hackathon - SAP First Place

Won First Place with cash prize worth 2500 SGD at Climate Hack, organised by Code for Asia along with SAP. Won among seventy-five participating teams

Dyson Award for Best Innovator

Won Award for Best Innovator chosen by a panel of judges comprising Dyson’s R&D Director and NTU’s College of Engineering’s head.

NTU PEAK Best C-Suite Solution Runner-Up

Won runner-up for best business idea awarded by C-suite leaders from Grab, unilever, and Schneider Electric.

HP-NTU Innovation Challenge Best Hack (Student’s Choice)

Won Best Hack Award for a printer solution targeting less usage of paper.

Google's Hackfest Top 5

Won Top 5 at Google's Hackfest organised by Google's DSC where a solution was developed in the span of two weeks and judged by Google Engineers.

Grab Hack4Good Hackathon Top 6

Won Top 6 Award at Grab's annual hackathon devising a solution utilising Grab APIs.

Android Development

Multidisciplinary Design Project

An Android remote controller application for Design Project that runs an STM-32 microprocessor-based robot. Conceptualized, designed, and coded the application in Java and established connection with Raspberry Pi server and algorithmic team.

Full-Stack Mobile Development

Recyclops

A full-stack mobile application developed using Flutter that helps wishcyclers make better decisions on what to recycle. It works on a SOTA image recognition model YOLOv5 and was coded in 24 hours for NUS's Life Hackathon organised by its School of Computing.

Frontend Development

RoomieLah!

Built a full-stack mobile application that matches university students based on preferences to potential roommates in university. Created application using a Flutter frontend and backend using Node and Express.js and Firebase and conducted extensive documentation on Quality Assurance and Testing/Release plan.

Java Development

Course Planner

Developed a console-based application for NTU’s Automated Student Registration System reflecting all of its functionalities. Implemented Java code and significantly ensured that design principles like OCP, LSP etc and OOP concepts like abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism are in place.

Game Development

RPG Game

Created a game-based application to gamify the learning experience for software engineering students. Developed using Flutter, Dart, and Bonfire with FlameEngine as game engine and Google’s Firebase for the backend. Completed intricate Software Requirement Specifications and Architecture Designs documentation.

Python Development

Earthquake Data Analysis

Implemented exploratory data analysis and machine learning algorithms on a dataset that concerned the aftermath of the 2015 Nepal Earthquake using Jupyter Notebook. Outlined various factors that lead to a greater damage grade in buildings and what can be done to better withstand the effects of an earthquake applying Regression Models, Binary Decision Trees and Random Forest Classifiers.

NutrIoTion

Creating an IoT-based sensor solution that aims at effectively determining the spoilage level of fresh produce using gas sensors along with camera-based sensors. Visit us here: https://www.nutriotion.org Responsible for creating the ML model that classified fresh and rotten produce along with a dashboard using Python’s Streamlit that displays results from our analysis to inventory managers.

SGHealth

Building a mobile-based application on health and fitness employing public datasets from data.gov.sg Using Flutter and Dart for the frontend with JavaScript as the backend with RESTful API’s. Employed SOTA software engineering principles and the software development lifecycle to ensure best performance.
